Episode 7 Pack Award: Mia Cestia — St. Thomas More Catholic High School

St. Thomas More Catholic High School senior Mia Cestia earned ASN’s Pack Award after finishing first in the girls’ race at the meet discussed in Episode 7 in New Iberia. The hosts reported that STM won both team competitions, with Cestia and teammate Abby Kate Mendoza both finishing under 20 minutes despite a wet course.
The episode highlighted the two seniors’ work together through summer training and their ability to push one another in competition. The Pack Award celebrates the runner whose effort strengthens the team, recognizing both individual performance and the teammates who help make it possible. Opening Pack Award: Emily Landry — ARCA

ARCA senior Emily Landry is ASN’s first Pack Award recipient, recognized for the leadership she brings to her cross-country team. Charles visited a practice and spoke with her coach, who described Landry as an extension of the coaching staff in the way she encourages and guides the other runners.
Her focus reaches beyond her own finish. Landry helps teammates find ways to improve their times and understands how each runner’s progress contributes to the team’s performance. That commitment to bringing the group forward captures the purpose of the Pack Award.
