Week 3: Acadiana Renaissance Charter at Abbeville High School

The Perfect Fitz Game of the Week heads to Abbeville as the Wildcats host the Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (ARCA) Eagles for homecoming at Wildcat Stadium. It is Abbeville’s first game at its home stadium this season, and ASN’s Charles Jaubert will be there for a matchup between two programs working to establish their identity.
On Episode 7, Abbeville head coach Brent Indest praised ARCA’s improvement and its downhill running game following the Eagles’ 21–17 win over Ascension Episcopal. For Abbeville, the focus is on sustaining its effort through four quarters, improving the passing game and creating more opportunities for its runners. Indest described accountability and consistent practice attendance as foundations for rebuilding the Wildcats’ program.

Week 2: Notre Dame vs. Church Point

Acadiana Sports Network’s Game of the Week heads to Church Point as the Bears host the Notre Dame Pioneers on Friday, September 11, 2026. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Church Point High School.
Notre Dame comes into Week 2 after a 28–14 win over Northwest, while Church Point opened with a 24–8 victory over Jennings. Both teams have an opportunity to build on a winning start and move to 2–0. For the Pioneers, the next test comes on the road; for the Bears, it’s a chance to defend their home field against another team carrying early momentum.
On Episode 6, Eric, Charles and Chris previewed a physical Acadia Parish matchup. Charles described Notre Dame as a measuring stick for Church Point’s developing program, while Chris pointed to the schools’ shared history and the familiarity between players. The panel expects Notre Dame’s ground game and discipline to test the Bears, with Church Point’s passing attack offering a different challenge. Eric and Charles picked Notre Dame; Chris backed Church Point.
Episode 7 recap: Notre Dame High School of Crowley took control early and shut out Church Point High School 37–0. Quarterback Parker Menard earned the Perfect Fitz Game of the Week MVP with two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. ASN also recognized Notre Dame’s offensive line and the Church Point alumni tailgate during its visit.
Week 1: Teurlings Catholic at St. Thomas More

Game recap: In Episode 6, Eric and Charles credited STM’s veteran offensive line and early success on the ground for setting the tone in the 35–0 win. They noted that Teurlings moved the ball through the air, but red-zone turnovers and missed fourth-down opportunities helped STM keep control. Senior Max Mason earned ASN’s first Hog of the Week recognition.
Acadiana Sports Network opens its Game of the Week coverage with a local rivalry as the Teurlings Catholic Rebels visit the St. Thomas More Cougars. It’s an opening-week opportunity for both teams to set the tone for the season, with local bragging rights adding to the stakes.
