All season long, the Acadiana Sports Network crew will visit games across the area in search of the best high school football tailgates. Each week, one standout group of fans will be named the ASN Tailgate of the Week and receive a $100 gift card to Mikey’s Seafood and Specialty Meats.
Week 2: Church Point Alumni Tailgate — Notre Dame at Church Point

The Church Point alumni tailgate earned ASN’s Tailgate of the Week recognition before Church Point High School hosted Notre Dame High School of Crowley. Set up near the bus barn, the group welcomed Charles with a spread of homemade food, locally sourced favorites and ribs that had been cooking for hours.

Week 1: Broken Chain Gang — Teurlings at STM

The Broken Chain Gang tailgating crew earned ASN’s first Tailgate of the Week honor before Teurlings Catholic faced St. Thomas More. Charles found a welcoming setup with a large tent, cooling equipment and a spread that included shrimp fettuccine, egg rolls and meat pies.
The crew told ASN they have been tailgating together for about 15 years, with the gathering growing over time. Their food, hospitality and game-day atmosphere earned them a $100 gift card to Mikey’s Seafood and Specialty Meats. It was a memorable start to a packed night at STM.
